'How do you never age?' ask fans as 80s horror star, 57, stuns at movie convention 37 years after terrifying film debut

HELLRAISER star Ashley Laurence stunned fans at a movie convention, 37 years after her terrifying film debut.
‘How do you never age?’ asked her Instagram followers as 80s horror star Ashley, 57, posted a gorgeous selfie from the event.
The brunette beauty looked gorgeous as she posed with a fan at Days Of The Dead Horror Con in Chicago.
Sharing the snap to social media, she playfully wrote, “Lollipop gangstas,” in her caption.
Famed for her iconic role as Kirsty Cotton in the 1987 film, Ashley has become a cult figure in horror cinema ever since.
She delighted Hellraiser fans after reprising her role in Hellraiser sequels, Hellbound and Hell on Earth, in the 90s.
On how she bagged the part, Ashley explained at the time, “I had been in a teenage drama workshop because I had a crush on a boy.
“I took this workshop and a girl who works there who was also interning at New World at the time said they were casting this movie and couldn’t find the lead.
“They had gone to Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. She had called me and asked me if I would go down and audition for this film and it was the day that Clive Barker and Chris Haig were going back to England that day.
“So I went over there and I read and Clive was terrific and he said ‘Would you retest for this?’
“So they flew me to England and had me retest and said, ‘I am going to have to fight for you because the studio wanted a name, but to me you are Kirsty!’ I got it because he fought for me.”
Throughout the years, she’s showcased her talent in a variety of projects, including music videos and television series, too.
More recently, she appeared in the Shudder series Creepshow for one episode in 2021.
