SEATTLE (KOMO) — The King County Prosecutor charged a University of Washington (UW) football player with two counts of felony rape after he was arrested in the U District on Friday.
According to court documents, 18-year-old Tylin Tamis Rogers, also known as Tybo, was charged with second and third-degree rape and was held on a $300,000 bail.
His bail was set for $150,000 for each rape case, according to court documents. He has since posted bail.
According to court documents, the incidents involving Rogers occurred between October and November of 2023.
In a statement from a University of Washington spokesperson, the school said they were “aware of the arrest of a football student-athlete by the Seattle Police Department.”
Adding the “student-athlete has been suspended from all team activities until further notice.”

The UW Football website states Rogers then played in the Sugar Bowl and the CFP Championship Game against Michigan.
Rogers recorded five carries for 19 yards in the Huskies’ semifinal win over the Texas Longhorns on Jan. 1. The 18-year-old rushed for two yards in the National Championship Game against the Michigan Wolverines on Jan. 8.
Court documents state a warrant found that multiple emails were sent within the UW Athletic Department confirming Rogers should be taken off the travel roster for the PAC 12 Championship game.
There were also “text messages referencing Rogers and questions being asked about what was going on with him by different people including Rogers’ father,” court documents said.
